Name: Ryan Walker (Xephaniel)
Race: Demon [Incubus | Sired]
Notes: So far the only demon to seek redemption. He argues that his work forming the baseline for vaccines and saving many lives after his death should at least grant him purgatory. The gods are willing to grant this request, but only if he agrees to watch over Aoba and make sure she doesn't reset the world yet again. Ryan is known for his clever intellect and poor social skills. Despite being an incubus he's earned the nickname for Aoba "world's worst demon" for being a prude. Was a virgin before meeting Aoba, and survived off of wet dreams prior to their first encounter.

Name: Nikolai Orlov (Astaroth)
Race: Demon [Incubus | Sired]
Notes: Ryan's sire and the story's main villain. Nikolai had watched Ryan's life when he was human and was the one to offer him respite from hell's eternal torture by offering him a chance to become a demon. Nikolai is obsessed with Ryan, and makes plenty of underhanded moves in order to "keep him in line" and observe both him and Aoba. He's also been exploiting the resets to consume the souls that had died in previous resets but never ferried off by the reapers. This makes him a formidable adversary.

Race: Cambion (father incubus, mother human)
Notes: While looking for places of faith to learn how to protect herself Aoba ran into Ayanna. She is a young adult (mid/late teens) who takes care of her mother. Because of her father's side Ayanna is an empath and has always been able to see ghosts and the supernatural. When Aoba and Ayanna meet they hit it off (despite Ayanna's initial distrust of Ryan). The two become fast friends and Ayanna teaches Aoba how to utilize her power. Eventually Ryan and Aoba learn that Ayanna's father is Nikolai.
